Desert Foothills Theater presents “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” May 2 - 11
SCOTTSDALE – Desert Foothills Theater (DFT), a division of the Foothills Community Foundation, presents a special youth theatre production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” running Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 11 at the FCF-Holland Cabaret Theater, 34250 N. 60th St., Building B, in north Scottsdale.

New Arizona Capitol Museum exhibit open
A new exhibit, Arizona Takes Shape, opened Saturday, April 26, at the Arizona Capitol Museum. The exhibit explores how the Mexican American War and the Gadsden Purchase shaped the Civil War and the creation of Arizona.

Phoenix Swim Class registration opens May 1; pools open May 24
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department’s full 2014 summer schedule of affordable swim classes and team programs for summer is now viewable online. Registration for 2014 classes opens this Thursday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. Swim lessons cost just $15.
