CAVE CREEK – Arizona’s largest and longest-running artist studio tour and sale, Hidden in the Hills (HITH), celebrates its 20th year during the last two weekends of November, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 18,19, 20 and November 25, 26, and 27, 2016. A signature event of the non-profit Sonoran Arts League, Hidden in the Hills features more than 180 artists in 47 studio locations throughout the scenic Desert Foothills communities of Cave Creek, Carefree and North Scottsdale.

Feeding wildlife a "selfish act" that can lead to bigger problems
Officials warn Arizonans to “think twice” before luring wildlife with food
MESA – A nuisance bear is being sought after repeatedly showing up at the Pioneer Pass campground in the Tonto National Forest. A sub-adult male bear was captured in Parks, Ariz. and had to be relocated. A mountain lion is suspected of killing a Mesa family pet. Javelinas attacked a Fountain Hills resident and her dogs. It’s the time of year when wildlife are on the move, and the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) cautions people to take steps to reduce wildlife interactions with humans.

Nonprofit executive turnover more turbulent than previously thought
New research from North Carolina State University finds that turnover among executive leaders at nonprofit organizations is often plagued by problems – with very few transitional periods mirroring the scenarios painted in the professional literature. The study also found that most nonprofit executives do not leave their positions due to voluntary retirement, as previously thought.
