Twisted Tree Farm would like to ask the horse community to assist The Phoenix Dream Center
The Phoenix Dream Center is a volunteer driven nonprofit organization, which exists to serve the homeless, low-income, at risk youth and struggling individuals and families by providing resources, opportunities and supportive services to help them realize their dream of living a self-sufficient life.

Founded in 2006, the Phoenix Dream Center currently serves over 40,000 people each month. They have become best known for 2 things in our City; Their Community Outreaches and Housing Programs.
Twisted Tree Farm owners Janet and Larry Hischer have a history of working with the Dream Center to raise money on several occasions. In 2012 & 2013, miniature donkeys were auctioned off for a total of $38,000.00. This money went to building their family room for their residents and helped purchase vehicles to take foster kids to job interviews, doctor appointments, school, etc. Hischer notes that she feels as if "horses are her tool to help people in need" and in this instance it is the horse community that can help these people in need.
How you can help:
A couple of weeks ago, there was a fire in the supply room of the Dream Center. This room contained all of the household supplies and necessities for the center its residents. We are reaching out to you to help them recover from this loss.
Since the fire wiped out all stock piled supplies, the Phoenix Dream Center is in need of replacements. Donations of household items such as:
Toiletries (any sizes):
•Over the counter meds (Advil, Tylenol, Claritin, Pepto-Bismol, Orajel, Antacids, etc.)
•Hair Brushes/Combs
•Shampoo/Conditioner
•Lotion
•Toothbrushes
•Toothpaste
•Body Soap
•Deodorant
•Feminine Products
Cleaning Supplies:
•Laundry detergent
(liquid,pods, etc)
•Floor Cleaner
•Trash Bags
School Supplies:
•Notebooks (spiral, composition, or binders)
•Lined Notebook Paper
•Pens/Pencils
•Staples
•Computer Paper
In addition to any supplies, monetary donations would also be accepted. Checks can be made out to "The Phoenix Dream Center Living Youth" and mailed to The Dream Center at 3210 Grand Ave #314, Phoenix, AZ. 85017 or to Twisted Tree Farm Outreach Project at 8924 E. Pinnacle Peak Road #G5-424 Scottsdale, Arizona 85255. Any donated items can either be dropped off or mailed to The Dream Center (address listed above) or dropped off at Twisted Tree Farm (29001 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, 85266). The Dream Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
