SCOTTSDALE – Desert Foothills Theater (DFT), a division of the Foothills Community Foundation, is bringing SiriusXM radio's Seth Rudetsky to Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, 33606 N. 60th St., in Scottsdale, for a special one-night only “Seth’s Big Fat Broadway Show” at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 25. The show marks the popular performer’s first visit to Arizona.

TRRFCC Family Fun Night at the Buffalo Chip – November 9

Come support TRRFCC Horsemanship at our Annual Family Fun Night Fundraiser, November 9 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Buffalo Chip in Cave Creek. This will be a great event for the entire family including a complete chuck wagon dinner, silent auction, raffles, face painting, fun and games. Admission is FREE! Dinner tickets are only $15 for adults and children’s dinner is $10. The horses from the TRRFCC Herd will be in the arena for families to interact with. Participants will have time grooming, leading and the favorite, painting the horses at the end of the night!

U.S. Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) Managing Attorney Craig Morris is appearing in Phoenix 3 p.m., October 21 at the State Library of Arizona in the historic state capitol to talk about the new trademark application system. The talk will include:

Horse Racing with Vince Francia, Turf Paradise GM

Join them Tuesday, October 27 ? 6:30 p.m. for a fascinating evening with Cave Creek Mayor Vince Francia, who as General Manager of Turf Paradise, the only horse track in Phoenix, will share stories and insights (and perhaps a few tips? You do not want to miss this talk!). Considered to be Arizona's first sports franchise, its doors opened on January 7, 1956 in what was then a barren desert serviced by two dirt roads that stretched south towards the fledgling city of Phoenix. Visit Scottsdale's Floating Pumpkin Patch

Fun Fact of the day: Pumpkins Float! See for yourself at Dunkin’ for Pumpkins from 1 - 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24 at both the Eldorado and McDowell Mountain Ranch Pools. For a $5 admission fee you have your pick of pumpkins, and various stations have supplies for you to decorate your pumpkin. The pumpkins will be floating in two feet of water, so you can wade in the pool or ask one of our staff members to help you select the perfect pumpkin. The pools will be heated – so no worries about a Fall chill! This event will take place at two locations, both from 1 - 3 p.m.: Eldorado Pool, 2301 N.
