Soroptimist scholarship awarded to CSHS senior
The Saguaro Foothills Chapter of Soroptimist International, or SISF, recently awarded their annual scholarship package of $5,000 to Kristen Hartlen, a member of the S-Club at Cactus Shadows High School (CSHS).

Ashley Durham received the Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award from the Arizona State DAR. Danna Spence Koelling, the AZ State Regent, and Sue Irwin, the AZ State Chairman of Veterans Services, presented Ashley with the award on Friday, May 2, 2014.

Cave Creek resident Brett Hoeppner graduates summa cum laude from Arizona State University
Brett Hoeppner, son of long-time Cave Creek residents John and Cheri Hoeppner, graduated Thursday evening with honors from the Herberger Institute School of Theatre and Film with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Production. Brett was recognized by Arizona State University for his academic achievements with the highest designation of summa cum laude requiring a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.80.
