Summer Music Enrichment Program
Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Carefree announces a Summer Music Enrichment Program June 2 – July 7, open to all ages. Class offerings include private lessons in voice, strings, piano, organ and trumpet. Hand Bell sessions will be June 2 – July 28. Children invited to Wilderness Escape VBS
A summer event called “Wilderness Escape: Where God Guides and Provides” will be hosted at Desert Foothills Lutheran Church and Preschool from 9 a.m. – noon June 2 through June 6. Participants step back in time at Wilderness Escape, exploring some of the adventures faced by Moses and the Israelites. Our kids will be collecting spare change all week long to benefit the efforts of the Foothills Food Bank, their chosen charity. For information call 480-585-8007 or visit DFLCVBS.org.

Listen to the music at free Sunday Evening Concert series
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is the place to be for free concerts every Sunday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. through July 6. Pack a picnic, grab your lawn chairs and blankets, and come listen to a variety of favorite local bands. Train and carousel rides are available during concerts. Tickets are $2 each with children younger than 3 riding free with a paying adult. The park is at 7301 E. Indian Bend Road.
