Polly want a home?
When people think of animal shelters being inhabited by homeless animals, dogs and cats are the typically the pets that come to mind. Unfortunately, there are just as many unwanted birds in need of a loving home. Overrun with the more common pets, like cats and dogs, animal shelters often cannot appropriately cater to these abandoned birds’ needs. This is where bird rescue foundations swoop in to save the day.

Probably the loudest creature ever
In April of 2009, astronomers first discovered an “earth-like” planet. Since then, 3,500 additional earth-likes (potentially habitable) have been identified. A team of planet hunters has estimated there are at least 10 billion such planets in the known universe. The human population of Earth is 7 billion. That would seem to imply that each of us could have our own planet. Some might have two.
