PHOENIX – Sheriff Joe Arpaio is pleased to report that the auction of his medical sling to benefit the Sheriff’s no-kill animal shelters has gained a winning bid of $2,600 on eBay.

Booboos
Every year the cockles and cackles of my heart are warmed by that sensitive and touching film classic, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. My sniffling and sobbing are replaced by shock, however, when the movie is marred by a savage demonstration of gratuitous violence.

“Ukulele” means “flea”
It is believed that in the 1700s (on the Portuguese island of Madeira) some cabinet makers first constructed small guitar-like instruments that had only four strings. In the 1800s, scores of Madeira’s citizens were recruited to work in the sugarcane fields of the Hawaiian (Sandwich) Islands and brought along their “Madeira Guitars.”
