North Valley Orchestra to host fundraiser dinner

North Valley Symphony Orchestra will host a dinner at Moon Valley Country Club Saturday, February 6 to thank current supporters of the orchestra, and offer information to others interested in supporting NVSO. The event will begin at 5:30 and will include entertainment by the orchestra’s small ensembles, as well as a presentation reviewing NVSO’s accomplishments and future goals.

The orchestra has experienced fantastic community support in their short existence, and wishes to honor those who are dedicated to the growth of NVSO by providing a plated dinner and an informational presentation about the success of the organization. NVSO’s mission is to build community through music, and continues to honor its audience members with ticket prices for only $5. NVSO is very proud to continue to provide not only a place for musicians to play the music they love, but also offer affordable classical music concerts for north valley audiences.

In addition to the adult orchestra of over 70 musicians, NVSO has two orchestras for youth: NVSO Symphonettes focuses on providing beginning to intermediate string players with their first ensemble experience, while NVSO Youth Orchestra focuses on providing a year round district honor orchestra level experience. Highly skilled Youth Orchestra members are also given the opportunity to audition for the Adult Orchestra, which provides extremely talented young musicians an opportunity to excel.

The Feb. 6th dinner is the orchestra’s major fundraising event of the season.

Reservations for the event can be made at http://www.northvalleysymphony.org/donor-appreciation-dinner/. Dinner reservations are $50 per person, or free to all donors who have given $500 or more to the orchestra this concert season.
