Join us for the 10th annual Zoowalk for Autism Research!
Who: ASU’s Autism/Asperger’s Research Program 10th Annual Zoowalk
What: Come out and participate in the 10th annual Zoowalk for Autism Research held at the Phoenix Zoo to raise funds for ASU’s Autism/Asperger’s Research Program.
When: Saturday, October 4, 2014, from 6:30 – 9 a.m.
Where: Phoenix Zoo - The walk starts at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium – parking lot; ends at the Zoo, 455 N. Galvin Parkway Phoenix, Arizona 85008. 602-273-1341.
Cost: $25 for adults (includes a t-shirt), $15 for teens, free for 12 and under and individuals on the spectrum. All participants receive a wrist band for all day zoo admittance.
Why: Gather your friends, family, and coworkers and enjoy a beautiful walk around the Phoenix Zoo while supporting our mission to find effective treatments for autism!
Funds go to: This year’s Zoowalk will raise funds for several treatment studies for children and adults with autism.
Day of Schedule: Zoowalk Schedule - Saturday, October 4, 6:30 a.m. Registration Begins - Arrive Early! (at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium Parking lot.) / Walk begins as soon as you finish registering; 8:30 a.m.: Registration Ends; 9 a.m. Walk Ends; 11 a.m. Resource Fair Ends
How to Register: It’s time to build your Zoo Walk team! Invite your family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join your team and help raise money for the Zoo Walk for Autism Research so please sign up today at www.zoowalk.org.
Attire: Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, along with sunglasses, hat or other sun protection. This is a "rain" or shine event!
Special: If you participate in the Zoowalk your wristband entitles you to enjoy an entire day at the Phoenix Zoo! Come visit the exhibitors and sponsors pavilion! Have a fun time strolling around the zoo with your family and friends, seeing lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, bears, tortoises, and more!
Team Prizes: Great Zoowalk Prizes!All the Zoowalk Prizes are unique, handcrafted items made solely for the Zoowalk by teens and adults on the autism spectrum working at SEEDs. Every $200 raised by a team results in a Zoowalk Prize Ticket, which can be picked up at Registration on the morning of the Zoowalk. At the end of the walk, tickets may be exchanged for prizes at the SEEDs booth in the exhibitor pavilion.
