PHOENIX – Gun Rights Across America (GRAA) and Riders USA (United for a Sovereign America) are hosting the second Guns Across America nationwide rally to say, “Stand Your Ground!” at noon on Sunday, Jan. 19 at the Arizona State Capitol, 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix.

Both GRAA and Riders USA are all-volunteer organizations whose volunteers are “passionate patriots” dedicated to the preservation of our constitutional rights.

The event flyer states, “With corruption at every corner and our Second Amendment rights being trampled on, GRAA and Riders USA ask you to come out, bring your family, signs and your unwavering American pride and peacefully assemble. Our own ability to defend ourselves from a tyrannical government and from those who wish to do us harm is being threatened now. We are not criminals – we are law abiding American citizens! We are mothers, fathers, soldiers, veterans and your everyday man, woman and child. We walk among you every day. We will no longer let the misinformed and uninformed classify us into a genre that is not ours. We are American. We are protectors of the Second Amendment, we are the majority and we will Stand Our Ground!

“We will have a great lineup of speakers announced shortly. We had great success getting our legislators to listen in 2013 and need your continued support to carry that success into 2014.”
Meanwhile, the gun-control group, Americans for Responsible Solutions, founded by Mark Kelly, retired astronaut and Navy captain; and his wife, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in 2011, are amping up to spend $25 million during the next election cycle to back gun-control candidates.

Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Platt calls the current restrictive legislation on the books “lethal” and, referring to gun-free zones, stated, “There’s no victory until we get guns in schools and elsewhere to protect ourselves.”
