“Holiday Lights” runs through Jan. 4 at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
Chug along to one of Arizona’s most unique holiday events – Holiday Lights! Take a train ride through festive holiday lights and displays that turn the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park into a winter wonderland. Santa will be at the park through Monday, Dec. 23. Holiday Lights runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. through Saturday, Jan. 4 (excluding Dec. 24, 25 and 31). The park is at 7301 E. Indian Bend Road.

Advocates needed for Residents of Long-Term Care Facilities in Maricopa County – Volunteer Opportunity
PHOENIX, AZ – In the caring spirit of the season, the Area Agency on Aging, Region One is seeking volunteers to advocate for residents of long term care facilities in Maricopa county. The Arizona long term care Ombudsman program provides advocacy and assistance to residents of assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Ombudsman volunteers help to ensure that the best possible quality of life and care is attained by protecting the rights of residents in long term care. An initial comprehensive and in-field training, as well as eight hours of continued training are provided. Ombudsman volunteers make a difference!
