Cave Creek teens singing in spirit for music education The 5th Annual “Rock the District” will be held Saturday, November 23 from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Carefree Resort and Conference Center. The event will be emceed by KNIX 102.5 personality “Barrel Boy.” “Rock The District” benefits the Cave Creek Unified Education Foundation. “Rock The District” is a community supported event featuring an evening filled with music. This event also encourages students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program to volunteer and help put this show together. Some of these student volunteers include:

• Event Committee: The students in this group include Mira Takamura (Senior), Syndi Nnorom (Senior), Brittany Stallings (Junior), and Caitlyn Voth (Junior). These students are all in the IB program and volunteer their time to assist in the auditions process, show orchestration, and ticket sales, to ensure that this event runs smoothly

• Raffle Committee: This group includes Ashley Durham (Senior), Alec Griffith (Senior), and Amber Davis (Junior). They have journeyed around Cave Creek, Carefree, and Scottsdale, asking local businesses to donate products to the Rock the District Raffle, an entertaining activity for all involved.

• Public Relations Committee: The students in this group are Annalee Monroe (Senior), Sofia Ripa (Senior), Treyce Fleming (Junior), and Sophie Kenyon (Junior). This group of students have created press releases and update social media, such as the Rock the District Facebook page, to keep everyone informed on the performers and event date.
