Mighty Mud Mania
Mud, Mud and even more Mud! The 38th Annual Mighty Mud Mania Event will be on Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chaparral Park located at 5401 N. Hayden Rd.

Mighty Mud offers mud obstacles for people of all ages and ability levels. Enjoy this unique way to have some fun with friends and family while celebrating the start of summer. This year Scottsdale’s Special Event Team unveils the new EXTREME course that will challenge adults and youth 13 years and older.

Adults must register and pay a fee of $10 that will go directly back to support youth programs in Scottsdale. Grab your closed toe shoes, grubby clothes and get ready to get muddy with Scottsdale Parks and Recreation! Please note that Chaparral Aquatic Center will not be open but the event offers a water arena of inflatables to keep everyone cool.

Railroad Park concert continues with the JJ’s
Listen to the big city sounds of the JJ’s at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park's free Sunday concert. The event runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m., June 9, at the park, 7301 E. Indian Bend Road.
Bring a blanket or chair and hear a variety of favorite local bands. Train and carousel rides are available during all concerts. Tickets are $2 each and children younger than three ride free with a paying adult. Food will also be available for purchase.

Culture Passes available at Desert Foothills Library
Available for checkout, the Culture Pass provides library card holders free admission to top metro Phoenix arts and cultural destinations, including the Phoenix Children's Museum, Arizona Science Center, and the Botanical Gardens.

Library cardholders can check out a Culture Pass for FREE admission for two people at participating arts and cultural institutions. There are a limited number for each organization. Passes are available on a first come, first served basis; they will not allow renewals or holds to be placed on them, nor will staff be able to pull them for you. They are valid for seven days and do not need to be returned. One pass per family.

Passes may be limited to general admission only. Special exhibitions may not be covered, and other restrictions may apply.
