mccPHOENIX – To introduce its Summer 2010 Kids College programming, Paradise Valley Community College is hosting a Kids College Open House on Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Student Union, located in the Kranitz Student Center at PVCC’s Union Hills Campus.

Now in its 15th year, Kids College is a structured enrichment program for youth ages 7 – 12 and will be offered at two campuses: PVCC Union Hills and PVCC Black Mountain. Highly investigative learning opportunities are designed to enable children to expand their academic skills and make new friends. The class content is different from regular school curriculum and is taught by specialists in their fields.

The Open House will give Valley parents and kids a chance to receive detailed information about programs, classes, meet instructors and register for classes. Programming includes classes in reading, math, rocketry, geology, aeronautics, computer game design, engineering, guitar, art and beauty/confidence. KPNX Channel 12’s Kevin Curran will teach Creative Journalism.
