Local wins world championship title
The American Quarter Horse Association, Amarillo – Ina Ginsberg of Carefree, Arizona, captured the world championship title in 3-year-old geldings at the 2015 Adequan Select American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show on September 3 in Amarillo.
Ginsberg showed her American Quarter Horse Hez Packing Heat. The 2012 sorrel gelding, sired by Western Gunslinger and out of BR Sizzlin Sensation, was bred by Jack and Pam Brizendine of Rocklin, California.

Every Kid in the Park pass now Available
SPRINGERVILLE – On September 1, 2015 the Obama Administration formally launched the Every Kid in a Park program.
Fourth graders nationwide can visit the Every Kid in a Park website to obtain a pass that provides free access to students and their families to all federally managed lands and waters – including national parks, forests, wildlife refuges and marine sanctuaries. The pass is valid for the 2015-2016 school year and grants free entry for fourth graders and three accompanying adults (or an entire car for drive-in parks) at more than 2,000 federally-managed sites. This program is designed to continue every year with the then-current group of fourth graders.

What is Gluten?
NSF International survey finds U.S. consumers struggle to define and identify the protein found in certain grains
ANN ARBOR, Michigan – Consumers are not well informed around the topic of gluten, according to a new survey from NSF International, a global public health and safety organization. The survey found that despite having heard of gluten, most Americans cannot correctly define it or identify products that could contain the protein.
