Marshall Trimble to be guest

marshall trimbleArizona’s beloved state historian Marshall Trimble will share jokes, stories and songs about Arizona during a n Art Discovery Series event at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the music practice room at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, Scottsdale.

Trimble is an educator, lecturer, Scottsdale Community College professor, author, folk singer and stage performer.

He was inducted as a 2014 Historymaker by the Historical League of the Arizona Historical Society. “He is a treasure, who will share jokes, stories, and secrets of our great state through both verse and song!” said Jennifer Sheldon, music director at La Casa.

The event is free and an ice cream social will follow Trimble’s talk. The church is located at 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale.
