Be part of the magic!
August 17 – 22, 2015 Missoula Children’s Theatre’s "Aladdin" Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center
NORTH VALLEY – Join the cast of Missoula Children's Theatre’s "ALADDIN" at the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, August 17 through 22. Students have fun developing stage presence and acting skills at this preeminent theater residency presented by Education & Community Services (ECS), a department of Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD).
It’s a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian Tales from Ali Baba to Scheherazade as Aladdin journeys to find a magic lamp in a Cave of (not-so-great) Wonders. Full of memorable characters, from lost Penguins to talking Palm Trees, this is an adventure worthy of 1001 laughs!
Among the roles for students grades K through 12, are Aladdin and his Mother; the Princess Dory and her father, the Sultan; the Grand Vizier; the keeper of the Book of Answers; Dinazade and her sister Scheherazade; the Mysterious One; mischievous Genies; a stubborn Donkey; a spunky Goat; scheming Cassim; Ali Baba; Sinbad and his Sailors; wise-cracking Palm Trees and fleet footed Camels; a Cave of Wonders; Vagabonds and a pack of lost Penguins.
Missoula Children’s Theatre Tour Directors will conduct auditions for all roles at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 17, at the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center. Rehearsals are August 18, 19 and 20, between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Exact times will vary per age group. No advance preparation is necessary.
