Criminal damage to Cave Creek business under investigation
Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Mexicana Rose, located at 6300 E. Cave Creek Rd., over the weekend to investigate a criminal damage complaint. When employees came to work Saturday morning they found the business had been vandalized, leaving behind broken pottery and paint splattered across the building, courtyard and merchandise. According to MCSO Capt. Kip Rustenburg, while the case is still under investigation, the scene was processed early and valuable evidence was left behind. The owners said they have no idea who would want to do something like this to their business, which features authentic imports from Mexico, rustic and Southwest furnishings, home décor, accessories, pottery and art with damages estimated in the tens of thousands.
