Senator Kavanagh demands evidence surrounding proposed Glendale Casino

On June 12, Senator John Kavanagh (R) wrote to Arizona Department of Gaming Director Bergin seeking evidence he may have to support the claims that the Tohono O’odham Nation committed: fraud, fraudulent inducement, fraudulent concealment, promissory estoppel and misrepresentation in the matter of the proposed Glendale casino.
“As an Arizonan and a member of the Senate I am outraged that any fraud was committed against our citizens. In this case those who committed the fraud want to be rewarded with new rights to establish a massive casino right next to a school. Today I called on Director Bergin to release any and all evidence of the fraud, because the public has a right to the truth without hiding behind sovereign immunity.”
