Dr. Devi’s talents turn an ordinary smile into extraordinary
SCOTTSDALE – For some folks, dentists simply don’t rank up there as being one of their favorite types of people. It’s not personal. But, that said, they haven’t met Dr. Devi! Everyone loves Shreedevi “Dr. Devi” Thulasidas of Smile Design Specialists.

Of course, it’s not solely her clients who think the world of her. Her coworkers do, too. Rania, who has worked beside Dr. Devi almost two years as her dental assistant, offered, “Dr. Devi is an honest dentist.” Rania went on to explain how one patient had an estimate for $17,000 to take care of the whole mouth. After an examination, Dr. Devi told the patient all that was needed was a deep cleaning, which was much more affordable! It’s that level of integrity patients have come to appreciate and expect.
When Dr. Devi does a deep cleaning, she’ll work in quarters so patients can go home and eat without worrying about pain. “She makes sure no one has any discomfort when she is working on them,” Rania added. “She’ll ask frequently, ‘Do you feel okay? Any pain?’ People are grateful that she is so caring. We get lots of hugs here!”
Dr. Devi makes sure she takes time with each patient to get to know his/her needs and never rushes. She couldn’t be more accommodating, and that even comes into play when the color of a crown is off. If not perfect, she will send it back. She wants her excellence to reflect in every tooth, every filling, every cleaning. Dr. Devi recently pulled one of her young son’s teeth since he needs braces. He couldn’t have been more relaxed, and yet Dr. Devi treats every client as if s/he was her own family.
