Phoenix Herpetological Society hires reptile curator
Non-profit sanctuary’s collection includes 21 of world’s 23 species of crocodilians, and hundreds of other reptile species; Tours and summer camps available
SCOTTSDALE — Cody Bartolini has joined the Phoenix Herpetological Society (PHS) as Curator of Reptiles, moving from the world-renowned St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park in St. Augustine, Florida.

DAR Awards Historic Preservation Grant to Local Chapter
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be donating $1,550 for restoration of the Stoneman Trail Historic Marker in McDowell Mountain Regional Park.
Funding for the project was made possible through the sponsorship of Scottsdale-chartered Grand Canyon Chapter DAR.

Archaeology Center’s dream realized
CAMP VERDE – In 2009, the Arizona Archaeological Society Verde Valley Chapter invited archaeologist Stewart Deats of EnviroSystems Management to talk about a recent excavation in Cottonwood. During the late summer and fall of 2008 EnviroSystems, a cultural resource and biological consulting firm in Flagstaff, had been contracted by the developer to investigate the Grey Fox Ridge development area along the Verde River.
