Kiwanis Concert Series presents Todd Oliver & Friends
Todd Oliver & Friends, March 7, 6 p.m.; Assisted Living, The Musical, March 28, 6 p.m.
NORTH VALLEY – The Kiwanis Concert Series at Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion in Carefree Town Center features original music and lively entertainment from touring artists typically found on stage in Branson and Las Vegas. Don’t miss the last two hilarious special events of this season: “Todd Oliver & Friends” and “Assisted Living, The Musical.”
Todd Oliver grew up loving dogs, ventriloquism and rock ‘n roll. So what better than to combine them all, backed by The Smiling Eyes band, in “the feel good show of the year!”
Todd Oliver and Friends (r) – the “Friends” are dogs Irving and Lucy – have appeared on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and “The Today Show.” If you’ve ever wondered how a dog looks at life, Todd Oliver & Friends in “A Unique Ventriloquist” on Saturday, March 7, 2015, gives it to you straight from the dog’s mouth.
“Assisted Living, The Musical” (above) on Saturday, March 28, 2015, is for everyone growing older … or thinking of doing so. “Wickedly funny!” proclaimed the San Francisco Examiner. You’ll see your parents, your friends, and maybe some of yourself in this hilarious 75-minute vaudeville-style revue by Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett.
Eighteen different characters sing, dance, celebrate and “bloviate” the best years of their lives at Pelican Roost, an active senior living community peopled by numerous eccentric residents. Two accomplished actors play all eighteen roles, accompanied by a pianist.
Both shows begin at 6 p.m. at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion in Carefree Town Center Gardens.
Individual show tickets are $30. For information or tickets call 480-488-7169 or visit www.kiwaniscarefree.org. Tickets may also be purchased at The Kiwanis Marketplace, 6535 E. Cave Creek Road.
