National Lieutenant Governor’s Association appoints Secretary Reagan to Executive Committee
PHOENIX – With less than a month in office, the country’s preeminent organization for Lieutenant Governors has named Secretary of State Michele Reagan to its Executive Committee. According to the National Lieutenant Governor’s Association (NLGA) Secretary Reagan will represent the West region on the committee.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be asked to serve on the NLGA’s Executive Committee,” said Secretary Reagan. “The issues facing western states can be significantly different from other parts of the country. I’m extremely excited to provide our unique perspective to the ongoing dialog and continue to be an outspoken advocate for the Grand Canyon State.”
“Secretary Reagan’s experience in public policy and running a small business will make her a tremendous asset to the Executive Committee,” said Julia Hurst, Executive Director of NLGA.
The National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA), organized in 1962, is the professional association for the elected officials first in line of succession to the governors in the 50 states and five U.S. territories. The mission of NLGA is, in part, to foster interstate cooperation and to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
