Arizona Authors Showcase
Tuesday, October 28, 10 a.m. – Noon, Desert Foothills Library
Join four local authors, as they briefly tell about their stories. Following the book signings (please bring cash or check), we'll celebrate with cake and tea. Register: 480-488-2286.

Dick Elder: Lucky Numbers. After time in the navy, movies, and dude ranches, this octogenarian began writing in his 70's.

Nancine Meyer: The Lighter Side of Prayer. Restore your spiritual awareness and delight with this uplifting and hopeful book.

Diana Yu: Sylvia's Garden. An immigrant from Korea, Diana writes of their cultural issues through both fiction and non-fiction.

Arline Fraser: Another View. An entertaining travelogue of the author's visits to the British Isles.

Foothills Academy College Preparatory Open House
Foothills Academy College Preparatory is having a Day Time Enrollment Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Foothills Academy is located at 7191 E. Ashler Hills Dr. Scottsdale, AZ, 85266. The Elementary Campus will also participate in the Day Time Enrollment Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at 4720 E. Lone Mountain Rd. Cave Creek AZ, 85331. These open houses are for prospective students and their parents to come and view the school and see the classrooms in action.

Arizona Musicfest Volunteer Open House
Arizona Musicfest will host a Wine & Cheese Volunteer Open House on November 6 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Windgate Clubhouse for anyone in the community interested in volunteering at the premier winter music festival.  Guests will enjoy hosted wine and cheese during the open house, can meet and mingle with fellow volunteers and learn about the wide array of opportunities to get involved with through the Musicfest organization.
