Cars for Charity Car Show 2014

Celebrate Preserve Month at free event Oct. 18
October is McDowell Sonoran Preserve Month. To celebrate, Scottsdale is hosting a free community event from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Browns Ranch Trailhead, 30301 N. Alma School Parkway. Learn the history of the preserve effort from local historian Joan Fudala. Walk the half-mile long Jane Rau interpretive trail featuring interactive stations that explain the area’s ecology. For those wanting a longer hike, McDowell Sonoran Conservancy stewards will be available to lead a guided hike. Read the October Preserve Update to learn more about this magnificent resource and what it has to offer.
Carefree Highway McDonald’s® hosts fire safety event Saturday, Oct. 18
McDonald’s restaurant at 3140 Carefree Highway is hosting a fire safety event on Saturday, Oct. 18, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in celebration of Fire Prevention Month. Daisy Mountain Fire Department will be on-site to hand out safety information. Families can also tour the fire truck.
Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce Community Expo
