CSHS graduates 419 seniors at May 22 commencement
Class of 2014 members awarded $8.8 million in scholarships, a new record for Cactus Shadows
CSHS – Cheered on (as usual) by spontaneous acclamations, whistles and an occasional sneaked-in air horn (from proud parents, family members and friends), 419 seniors graduated Cactus Shadows High School the evening of May 22 at commencement-friendly Phoenix First Assembly.

Scholarship winners selected by the Carefree Cave Creek Chamber from the CSHS Career and Technical Program
A Grand Prize of $3,000 was awarded to Patricia McBrien, a volunteer at the Gold Mine Thrift Shop. The additional $3,000 raised was split between Eric Limbacher (l) and Kyle Kuo (r) – two very deserving Falcons who are involved with the Career and Technical Education Program at Cactus Shadows High School! This was the fourth year the chamber has given out a scholarship to a very deserving Senior in the CTE program. The Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce raises $6,000 selling 50/50 Raffle tickets in the spring.

“Above and Beyond: Arizona and the Medal of Honor” is a new exhibit that tells Arizona’s amazing history with the Medal of Honor, which is filled with iconic names like Geronimo, Cochise and Frank Luke, Jr. and includes the earliest action for which the nation’s highest military decoration was ever awarded.

No. 1 ranking for W. P. Carey School of Business: U.S. News names best online graduate biz program for veterans
TEMPE – This week, U.S. News & World Report issued some new rankings for online-degree programs, growing in popularity because of their convenience and flexibility. The W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University received the No. 1 ranking among the nation’s online graduate business programs for veterans.
