The AARP Smart Driver course teaches valuable defensive driving skills, proven safety strategies, and provides a refresher of the rules of the road. Cars have changed. So have traffic rules, driving conditions, and the roads you travel every day. Since 1979, the course has helped over 14 million drivers learn proven safety strategies and tips for how to adapt one’s driving to compensate for physical and aging changes. Plus, you may qualify for a discount on your car insurance by completing the course (participants should check with their auto insurance agent for details).
Take the AARP Smart Driver course at the Desert Foothills Library (38443 N. Schoolhouse Road, Cave Creek) on Feb. 22 from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The classroom course costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.
