Dr. Faver Animal Health ServicesCAVE CREEK – It's a celebration at Animal Health Services Surgical and Diagnostic Center. It was 20 years ago Cliff Faver, DVM, founded his veterinary clinic, and my, has it grown! From a small practice in a strip mall, currently AHS is housed in a state-of-the-art facility that as of March 2011 is open 24/7 for urgent and critical pet care (note, rattlesnake anti-venin availability) as well as for routine needs (appointments starting at 8 a.m.) such as vaccines, dentals, spay/neuters, even microchipping. Additional offerings include: nutrition services, V.O.M. - Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulations, acupuncture, CT Scans, ultrasounds. (See ahsvet.com for complete listing.)

The entire staff of Animal Health Services (including 10 FT vets and a technical/support staff of 60+ employees) is dedicated to the well-being of each pet while ensuring that every client is treated like family. They strive to assure their service is unrivaled. As a testimony to this excellence, in 2009, AHS was nominated in the top 10 for AAHA hospital of the year!

Of course, clients would expect such success from a man who has the best interest of animals at heart. Not only is Faver hands-on at AHS, he also devotes his time to serving on the board of Novartis Animal Health and Hills Pet Nutrition, being the exclusive Iv San Bernard Italian Pet Skin Products distributor for the U.S. (the sole products used in-house for spa and grooming) and trains firefighters and first responders in first aid and the use of FIDO Bag emergency equipment for pets. Faver is a supporter of major local rescues, AHS being a drop-off site for bedding, food, towels, cages, etc. And check out AHS' "Bubbles to Beds" on YouTube to see how their grooming of rescue animals leads to a higher rate of adoption for these area rescues.

Pet owners can stop by Animal Health Services at 37555 N. Cave Creek Rd., call 480-488-6181 or visit Twitter, Flickr, Facebook (watch for K9 Blood Buddies upcoming request for donors) and more.
