The Romanic Blockbuster La bohème comes to Phoenix January 24-26 at Symphony Hall

PHOENIX – Arizona Opera brings to life one of the greatest love stories of all time with La bohème performing at Phoenix Symphony Hall on January 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and January 26 at 2 p.m.

la bohemeIn this tender love story, a poet and a seamstress find true love on the streets of Paris only to discover that it was not meant to last.  La bohème features an all-star cast including Danielle Pastin, Corinne Winters, Jason Slayden and Zach Borichevsky.

Taking the roles of the bohemian lovers Mimí and Rodolfo, Corinne Winters and Zach Borichevsky return to Arizona Opera after their stunning debut last year in Roméo et Juliette. 
The real life couple has been in great demand, performing at the leading opera houses around the world, including Santa Fe Opera, English National Opera in London, Boston and Mexico City.

Winters and Borichevsky will perform on Saturday night (January 25). They alternate the lead roles with Danielle Pastin and Jason Slayden who will perform on Friday Evenings and Sunday Matinees (January 24 and 26). Tenor Jason Slayden's portrayal of Rodolfo has been hailed as a "heartfelt, note-perfect tenor," while Danielle Pastin brings a "lustrous, luscious timbre" to the role of the gentle Mimí.

Award-winning conductor Joel Revzen and veteran stage director Candace Evans lead the production as they breathe life into this timeless tale of romance.   La bohème will be sung in Italian with English supertitles.
