Wisconsin firm recalls ready-to-eat chicken and ham products due to potential listeria monocytogenes contamination

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25, 2013 – Garden Fresh Foods, a Milwaukee, Wisc. establishment, is recalling approximately 19,054 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken and ham products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Ted Cruz (r), R-Texas, spoke on the Senate Floor for 21 hours and 19 minutes, 1 hour and 7 minutes shy of the 1953 record held by Sen. Wayne Morse, I-Ore, who filibustered for 22 hours and 26 minutes against the Tidelands Oil bill.

Free Cave Creek citizen notification system

CAVE CREEK – Citizens of Cave Creek can now be alerted as soon as a crime in their area occurs thanks to a new notification system provided by the Marshal’s Office. Residents who sign up for the free email-based announcements are notified about nearby crimes, missing persons alerts and even helpful safety tips related to incidents going on in the town.
