Scottsdale Civil War Round Table meets October 15
SCOTTSDALE – The next meeting of the Scottsdale Civil War Round Table is October 15 at 6:40 p.m. at the Civic Center Library (Auditorium), 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd. in Scottsdale. The Chancellorsville Campaign: Lee’s Greatest Victory will be presented by Frank O’Reilly. Everyone is welcome. There is no admission charge.

DFT’s “Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.” promises fun for entire family
SCOTTSDALE – Desert Foothills Theater (DFT), a division of the Foothills Community Foundation, kicks off its new season with its youth theater production of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.” set for Fri., Oct. 4 through Sun., Oct. 13 in the intimate Black Box Theater of Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, 33606 N. 60th Street, in North Scottsdale.

Desert Foothills Land Trust announces 2013 Mountains of the Land Trust Photo Contest
NORTH VALLEY – Desert Foothills Land Trust is pleased to announce the 2013 Mountains of the Land Trust Photo Contest! The photo contest is intended to encourage a deeper appreciation for the unique characteristics of Black Mountain and Daisy Mountain – the landmarks at the heart of our Desert Foothills communities. Photos can be taken any time, but should feature Black Mountain or Daisy Mountain in some way.
