Volunteer drivers needed by Foothills Food Bank
Summer donations crucial to sustain their mission
NORTH VALLEY – The Foothills Food Bank serves our community year around. Summer, however, is especially challenging.
Demands for assistance continue and the needs change for those living out in the desert due to the intense heat. Financial help is often necessary for shelter.
We are fortunate the members of our community have been generous in helping the food bank find a large enough space in which to operate. They certainly need us now.
Donating the 10 percent savings at the grocery stores on Senior Day the first Wednesday of the month (Yup, that’s July 3rd!) magically turns Senior Day into Angel Day.
Monetary donations, always greatly appreciated, are critical to keep them going strong!
If you wish to drop off your donations in person, turn south from Cave Creek Road onto Hidden Valley Drive and follow the curve. You will see them on the north side at 6038 E. Hidden Valley Drive! Call 480-488-1145 if you need help finding them.
Their mailing address is P.O. Box 715, Carefree, AZ 85377
Please see the ad on the back page of the Patriotic Pride supplement in this issue for more information about how you can help the food bank and how you can ask the food bank for help.
