Liberty Counsel Action delivers 102,453 signatures calling for bipartisan investigation
Washington, DC – Liberty Counsel Action delivered a petition to Congress on May 8, comprised of 102,453 signatures, calling for a complete bipartisan congressional investigation into the Libya massacre and the cover-up crafted by the Obama administration.
“Nearly eight months after an Islamic jihadist terrorist attack on our American Embassy in Benghazi, an attack that claimed the lives of four Americans including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, the American public is still waiting for answers,” said Mat Staver, Chairman of Liberty Counsel Action. “We must find out why the Obama Administration went to such great lengths to deceive the American people by describing this attack as a ‘spontaneous’ act of violence rather than an organized, jihadist terrorist attack,” Staver said.
“This is not a ‘Republican’ issue or a ‘Democrat’ issue; this is an American issue,” Staver explained. “It is vitally important to our national security that we find those responsible for this cowardly attack and hold them accountable.”
“Since the tragic events of September 11, 2012, rather than seek justice, President Obama and his Administration have stonewalled it with lies and deception,” said Staver. “We hope that today’s petition will show Congress that unlike the White House, which wrote off the attack by saying ‘Benghazi happened a long time ago,’ the American people have not forgotten. The barrage of lies must stop. The American people deserve better. The victims and their families deserve better,” Staver concluded.
