Unique way to commemorate Memorial Day and Father’s Day
Donate to Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center
Sonoran News readers have been busy helping our community by donating to the Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center. You’ve done an amazing job!! The best way to see what kind of a difference your donations make – on May 18 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – the Foothills Food Bank will celebrate the grand opening of its new 5,000-square-foot facility at 6038 E. Hidden Valley Road in Cave Creek. A ribbon cutting is planned for 10:30 a.m.
The public is welcome to attend the grand opening during which tours of the new facility will be offered. Donations from all attendees are encouraged – nonperishable food and personal items as well as monetary.
If you can’t attend on May 18, please make a donation by mail: P.O. Box 715, Carefree, AZ 85377.
“Cash donations will help Foothills Food Bank to pay for its new facility and to buy foodstuff at a discount,” says DiPietro.
The new complex will allow the food bank to better serve the more than 9,000 individuals and families in the northern desert foothills. In order to pay for its new home, the food bank has launched a one-half-million-dollar capital funding campaign.
Bottom line: they really need our help now to pay off the loan for the purchase of the building and for outfitting it for service to our communities.
