Rep. Schweikert announces 2013 Art Competition Winners
Monday, Rep. David Schweikert announced the winners of the 2013 Congressional High School Art Competition for Arizona’s 6th District:
“Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this year's competition. Each piece notes an incredible amount of talent and dedication and I was very impressed by the variety and depth of the submissions. Thank you to all of the teachers and families that supported the artists. I look forward to seeing the new art up in each of my offices,” Rep. Schweikert said.

Bright Angel Trailhead Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Grand Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon Association will dedicate the renovated trailhead for Bright Angel Trail, one of the oldest and best known trails in the National Park system.

Childsplay Announces 2013-14 Season
Childsplay announces its 37th year of producing theatre for young audiences with its 2013-14 Season. The season is a collection of sentimental classics and new works.
Flex tickets for the new season are currently on sale, giving families the best seats at the lowest price with ultimate flexibility. Culture Passes available at Desert Foothills Library
Available at Desert Foothills Library for checkout, the Culture Pass provides library card holders free admission to top metro Phoenix arts and cultural destinations, including the Phoenix Children's Museum, Arizona Science Center, and the Botanical Gardens.

Commencement Celebrates Student Success
April 29, 2013—Graduation is a time to celebrate stories of success and the paths that students have taken to reach their goals. Paradise Valley Community College will celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2013 at the college’s 22nd annual Commencement ceremony, taking place at 7 pm on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Phoenix First Assembly.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department’s full 2013 summer schedule of affordable swim classes and team programs for summer is now viewable online. Registration for summer 2013 classes opens Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. Swim lessons cost just $15.
