Frail hair? You're in luck! Just Janet's Salon specializes in fine tresses
CAREFREE – Here's startling news. Did you know that a botched cut on fine hair can take three to six months to correct? If you're one of the many folks (men included) who have fine hair, why risk a stylist who isn't familiar with the nuances such delicate locks can bring? Janet Finch, of Just Janet's Salon, specializes in fine hair custom color and cutting. "I have fine hair, and I've gotten so many bad haircuts ..." she admitted, so it seemed natural to concentrate her skills so others didn't suffer the same beauty blunders.
After 50 years in the industry, she's certainly proven herself, however, Janet's not one to rest on tenure alone. Finch initially graduated from the prestigious Flavio Beauty College, but she's frequently learning the trends and updating her knowledge through continuing education. "You have to," she explained, "things are changing and products are improving."
One thing that won't change is Janet's use of Paul Mitchell products. "The color on Paul Mitchell is so mild. You can put it right under your nose and there's no smell. It has a beeswax base, so it's conditioning and helps stop breakage." The line is a bit of a family affair since Janet's daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Scott, travel the world and educate on Paul Mitchell products.
Just Janet's Salon is located in Stagecoach Village (7171 E. Cave Creek Rd.), and you'll find Janet there Thur. through Sat. "I am available on Saturdays for the working women who can't come in any other day," Finch said. Appointments can be as early as 7:30 a.m. and Janet can often accommodate walk-ins.
