“Wind and Fire”

CAVE CREEKThe Desert Foothills Library will host “Wind and Fire,” a live concert combining the Native American flute sounds of Mark Holland, along with the world percussion sounds of N. Scott Robinson, from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22.

Tickets are $20 and are available at the library, located at 38443 N. School House Road in Cave Creek, or by calling 480-488-2286. Reservations are recommended. Seats are limited.

Holland, a recording artist and performer, combines classical and jazz influences in his work. He is a composer and the founder of “Autumn’s Child,” and has performed with notable flute players including R. Carlos Nakai, Mary Youngblood and Bill Miller.

Robinson plays the drums and a variety of world percussion instruments. He is a composer, performer, recording artist and a member of faculty for the hand-drumming program at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
