Dreamchaser PMU Horse Rescue & Rehabilitation honored as 2012 top-rated nonprofit
New GreatNonprofits.org Award is based on positive online reviews
NEW RIVER – Dreamchaser PMU Horse Rescue & Rehabilitation announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2012 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit,” says Susan Thompson of Dreamchaser PMU Horse Rescue & Rehabilitation. We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including saving nine horses lives, including two recent ‘strays’ – horses that were turned out on the desert and almost starved to death. We have adopted out 5 horses into qualified homes, as well.
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Dreamchaser has received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. For example, one person wrote, “These folks put their heart and soul into what they are doing. My Sis and I went out every day that we could back in 2006-07, my car died and couldn't get there any more. Susan and all the volunteers have MORE LOVE IN THEIR LITTLE FINGER then some do in their whole body. I pray that she can get the help that will help all the animals, she is trying to save and find forever homes for.
At this time she is fighting to save a LITTLE-MINI-HORSE, who was horribly abused; all the folks on face-book are following her story, and we are all PRAYING THAT THE GOOD LORD will save this little girl ... SO again, I ask if you folks can help please do so.”
Being on the Top-Rated List comes at an important time of the year, as donors look for causes to support during the holiday season.
"We are gratified by Dreamchaser PMU Horse Rescue for its work,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, "They deserve to be discovered by more donors and volunteers who are looking for a great nonprofit to support."
Being on the Top-Rated list gives donors and volunteers more confidence that this is a credible organization. The reviews by volunteers, clients and other donors show the on-the-ground results of this nonprofit. This award is a form of recognition by the community.
