SCOTTSDALE – How far would you go to heal someone you love? So asks the film, The Horse Boy, the stirring account of one family’s epic journey to Outer Mongolia in search of help for their autistic son. The documentary feature chronicles Rupert Isaacson and Kristin Neff’s very personal odyssey as they struggle to make sense of their child’s autism and find healing for him and themselves in this unlikeliest of places.
On Saturday, November 3 Mr. Isaacson will speak in Scottsdale at Starry Knights, an evening benefiting Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship. Camelot will use funds raised through Starry Knights to expand their services by bringing Isaacson’s The Horse Boy Method to their Scottsdale program.
Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanshipis a nonprofit organization that teaches horsemanship to children and adults who have physical disabilities. Camelot has been offering all services at no cost to students for 30 years and is located in North Scottsdale.
