Cave Creek Merchants & Events Association formed

CAVE CREEK – The Cave Creek Merchants & Events Association (CCMEA), formerly the Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce, has changed its name and revised its mission and purpose for the community at-large.

The Cave Creek Merchants & Events Association has been serving Cave Creek and the Desert Foothills area for more than 12 years, bringing excitement, traffic and events to the businesses and organizations in Cave Creek and surrounding communities. According to CCMEA president Johnny Ringo, the association will continue to provide leadership and support for and to the merchants, organizations, educational entities and non-profits within the Town of Cave Creek.

“Cave Creek Merchants & Events Association will focus its energy in two directions: serving as the event organizer for the town and as the marketing arm for the Cave Creek business core,” says Ringo.

The organization will meet these goals by:
• developing and implementing events that benefit the town’s businesses and organizations through increased traffic. These signature events include Fiesta Days, the Cruise on Cave Creek and Wild West Days. CCMEA also will lend support for other existing events including, but not limited to, Bike Week, Taste of Cave Creek, the bicycle festival, Running of the Bulls and Cave Creek Wicked.

• marketing the uniqueness of Cave Creek, its businesses and the benefits of doing business in Cave Creek and the Desert Foothills area through media/advertising and hospitality outreach opportunities
