Creeker Sandra Waite, owner of Yoga Lila8, and her friend Lucy, official greeter for Cave Creek Chiropractic, were winners in the 5K9 run on March 4 in Tempe.
In the Walk.Wag.Run races both
runner and furry friend get credit for a finish time. Sandra and Lucy finished second in the Overall Women’s
category.

Cave Creek Museum invites you to Write with Light!
Photography contest open until May 4
Cave Creek Museum invites you to Write with Light, a photography competition open to all Arizona residents (proof of residency may be required for award winners).
Age Categories and Entry Fees per Entry: Ages 12 ~ 18, $10 per entry; Ages 19 and over, $25 per entry; More than five (5) entries, $20 per entry.
Awards: Entrants are eligible to receive one of three cash awards for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in their respective age-group category.
Adult: 1st Place, $500; 2nd Place, $250; 3rd Place, $100.
Youth: 1st Place, $250; 2nd Place, $100; 3rd Place, $50.
Entries must be postmarked by May 4, 2012 or delivered to the Cave Creek Museum, 6140 Skyline Dr., Cave Creek, from 2 – 6 p.m. on Friday, May 4. No Exceptions.
Submissions are not limited per entrant. Submissions cannot have been exhibited or published. Street art shows are not considered an exhibition. A separate application and fee must accompany each image. Entries must be an original image made by the applicant. All images must be matted and the mat must be 16" x 20." Any other mat size will be disqualified. Framed images will not be accepted. Traditional photographs and digital images in color or black and white are eligible.
The jury panel will include at least one professional photographer. Any image is acceptable, however, as this is a photography competition, images showing a high amount of computer manipulation will not be considered in a positive manner. Judging is based upon technical quality, aesthetic quality and presentation.
All submissions are to be in the form of color or black and white prints. Submissions in any other form will not be accepted (e.g. no transparencies, CDs, etc.). All images submitted should be no larger than 11 x 14 inches in size. Any image submitted larger than these size limitations will be disqualified.

No Cave Creek Museum Board members, chairmen or employees, or their immediate family members or board members may be recipients of cash prizes from the competition.
