CAVE CREEK – Cave Creek Museum is the first non-profit in the Town of Cave Creek to “go solar.” The Friday ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the first time the Museum generates its own energy from the sun.
The new system, which is worth about $70,000 including Arizona Public Service rebates and discounts, is expected to meet museum electricity needs and save about $4,000 the first year. The Museum received a $34,277 grant from the Arizona Department of Commerce in October 2010 to help pay for the installation.
Cave Creek Museum is located at 6140 Skyline Drive. For more information call 480-488-2764, or visit www.cavecreekmuseum.org.
