Friesian keuring Saturday, Sept. 25

Free and open to the public

What is a keuring? Judges fly here from Holland to see the Friesian horses once a year to give status to ones that are entered into the inspection/keur. It is a very different way to show a horse due to having professional track runners dressed in all white to run the horses in white bridles or halters. It is very exciting!

Friesians are a rare breed with only 2500 in the United States! They were almost extinct at one time. Due to the heat there are not many in Arizona. If you enjoy watching pretty horses, this will be a perfect opportunity!

A Friesian keuring will be held at Euro Riding Center, 28922 North 53rd Street (north of Dynamite, west of Scottsdale Road, east of Cave Creek Road). A large Friesian banner will mark the spot. Please park off the road. The official start is at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Sept 25. IBOP tests will be first. Bring chairs.
