The Military Veterans Ministry at Our Lady of Joy Church in Carefree is sponsoring a free Veteran Coffee Gathering at 0900 on Friday, April 19. The speaker for this event is Joe Trotter, LCDR, USN (ret.).
Joe served in the US Navy for 24 years, working his way up from a seaman to LCDR. He was in the nuclear submarine force for 22 years serving on two nuclear ballistic missile submarines and ending his career as the director of the Naval Reactors Vendor Quality Assurance Office. Joe will be talking about his experience in the nuclear submarine force including both serious and humorous stories.
If you have ever wondered what it takes to be an officer in the nuclear submarine force, what happens when there is nuclear emergency on the sub or how the submariners escape the sub when it cannot surface, stop by, meet some great vets, drink some coffee, eat some snacks, and find out. Registration is not required and feel free to bring vet and non-vet guests.
