Sam will be missed

I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.

I am writing you to pass along some bad news for any of us that love wildlife. Sam Fox, co-founder of Wild at Heart with her husband Bob, died January 1st. Wild at Heart is the organization that rehabilitates raptors and reintroduces them into the wild and has been doing that since 1991. They are located in Cave Creek. It is estimated that over 400 birds a year go through Wild At Heart so when you see a hawk soaring above, it is likely it went through Wild At Heart or is a descendent of a bird that did. If you aren’t familiar with them, go to their web site at: https://wildatheartraptors.org/ or on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/WildAtHeartOwl/ and read about them. It is an amazing organization that gets rave reviews from anyone that has come in contact with them. Sam and Bob have dedicated their lives to saving these magnificent birds. Sam started it in 1991 when she took in a badly wounded owl, that would dramatically change the course of their lives, and nursed it back to health. Despite having her own physical challenges, that eventually claimed her life, she never wavered from working hard to fulfill Wild At Heart’s mission.

Sam will be sorely missed but Bob will carry on the work of Wild At Heart, so if you want to honor Sam, Bob, and Wild At Heart we are suggesting donations to Wild At Heart so Sam’s dream can continue, which will also help Wild At Heart continue to work their miracles that keep these birds in the air.

If you do want to donate go to their website donate page at:
https://wildatheartraptors.org/get-involved/donate/ They can take check, PayPal or donations through Mightycause. Wild At Heart is a 501(c)3 organizations so donations are deductable. Their tax ID is 86-0770883.
Thanks, stay healthy, and I hope you have a good 2021, certainly better than 2020.
