For All Signs: Mercury, ancient god of travel and communications, will be turning retrograde on March 5, remaining so until March 28. Retrogradation is not literal; the planet does not actually move backward. It is a phenomenon which gives the appearance of backpedaling from our perspective on the planet. Before Copernicus (circa 1500) it was believed the planet really changed directions in the sky. We who live on earth are prone to garble communications and computers during the retrograde periods. Use this week to initiate projects you have on-line because once Mercury turns, it is hard to get new things off the ground. See next week’s article for more details.
Aries: Chiron entered your sign on Feb. 18 and points rather directly to your physical and emotional well-being. You may become allergic to a substance, and during the next eight years your body will be less able to tolerate it. Tendencies toward dependence will become obvious if they exist or someone may become dependent upon you.
Taurus: Your attention is focused on shared resources. That includes time, money, or energy, for which you are indebted. You will likely be ready to start on your income taxes this year. You may wish to reorganize loans or collect money owed to you from other sources.
Gemini: You and your partner may be restless and want to do something different. This is a good weekend to take a day trip to somewhere you haven’t been for a while. Go to a concert or a movie together with an uplifting message.
Cancer: You are in a reasonably good place with yourself at this time. Your heart and mind are flowing together. You have no conflict between your feelings and your thoughts about those feelings. Leo: This is a week designed for seriousness. Plans for entertainment may have to be abandoned to manage requirements and things you must do. This rather somber attitude is only for the present time and not meant to overwhelm your spring. Do what is necessary now and you can go back for play later.
Virgo: The aspects this week point at a busy household. There are more at home than is normal. There will be lots of chatter and philosophies on the table for discussion. Don’t allow your obsessions, such as the need to be right, or the need for a clean house, to take over the playfulness of this aspect.
Libra: People of the past may resurface. You will be glad to see these individuals, but more likely you will be reminded why they are no longer in your life. Somehow they are associated with old wounds in your life and you would just as soon let those memories go back to the ethers.
Scorpio: There is much you want to communicate with your partner (spouse, lover, consultant, client) and he/she may not be open to grasping it. Try writing an email so your words will be more meaningful. Don’t overtalk it. Otherwise your message could be dismissed as “just chatter”.
Sagittarius: Your concern for home and family members is on the front burner right now. You may feel responsible to drop your personal activities in order to contribute your part in a challenging situation. Perhaps an elder or a child has experienced bad fortune and you want to offer comfort and consolation.
Capricorn: Intensity in relationships is the theme of the week. If you are not conscious, you could be pulled into schemes of manipulation or compulsive behaviors. Existing relationships could re-experience the pain of old wounds. You have a choice of whether to work it through or act it out in the same ways as the first time. If things feel “icky”, someone is manipulating.
Aquarius: There is some tension in the area of finances or other resources. You may fear you do not have enough time, money, or energy to fulfill one or more needs. Your ingenious thinking will help you through. Aquarius is known for the unique solution.
Pisces the Fish: (Feb. 18 — Mar 19) A creative project or relationship begun in Dec., 2018, comes to a significant turning point now. It is developing its own will, so to speak, and won’t conform precisely to your wishes. You will need to give it space to move in its own direction. Don’t throw it out. Let the creation (or relationship) open your mind and give it space to create for you.
