Thank you!

Thanks to your support, we came so close to winning a seat in the Arizona House of Representatives. 753 votes separated me from my opponent in the end.

I’ve never been more proud of a team of individuals than I’ve been with my campaign team. First, I want to thank my incredible wife, Karen, who worked above and beyond the call of duty to keep me and the campaign going throughout every day. I could not have run the race I ran without her love, support, and fierce dedication to the campaign trail. Second, I’m thankful to my campaign chairman, Jim Holst, who volunteered his time and talents to ensure that our campaign was doing what needed to be done. Third, I appreciate the tireless work of my campaign treasurer (but most importantly, my daughter) Savanna, who made sure that our books were in order throughout the entire campaign.

Running for state representative was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, but it was the most rewarding. I met so many incredible people throughout the entire process – proof that we in Legislative District 1 are blessed with some of the most hard-working, knowledgeable voters in the entire state. These voters want representatives who listen to them, represent the values of rural Arizona, and who fight for a smaller government – something that I hope our next two representatives take to heart each and every day that they are at the Arizona Capitol.

There was never any guarantee that I was going to be handed this seat, and I worked as hard as I knew how to each day of the campaign. I may not be headed to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2017, but be rest assured that I’m not going away. The futures of my ten grandchildren depend on my continued involvement in this process of vetting and electing our public servants, and that is exactly what I intend to be doing in the months and years ahead.

I’ll never forget the past fourteen months of the campaign – all the support, all the donations, all of the volunteers, all of the prayers, and all of the votes. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to those who voted for me. It is truly humbling to know that thousands of people thought enough of my record and message to vote for me to be their representative.
