PHOENIX, Arizona – The National Association for Gun Rights Inc. PAC announced its endorsement today of Former State Senator Dr. Kelli Ward in her race against John McCain.

NAGR’s President Dudley Brown issued the following statement:

NAGRbanner“We know Dr. Kelli Ward will be a 100 percent pro-gun conservative champion. As an Arizona State Senator, the first bill Kelli sponsored was ‘The Second Amendment Protection Act,’ which would make unconstitutional federal gun control laws and executive orders ‘void and of no effect’ in the State of Arizona.

“National Association for Gun Rights is proud to endorse Dr. Kelli Ward because she will simply say “no” to federal firearms infringement and fight to roll back bad laws already on the books. Now more than ever, we need her “constitutional isn’t optional” approach in the U.S. Senate.”

The National Association for Gun Rights is the fastest-growing gun rights organization in the country with over 4.5 million members and supporters.

Ward, who was endorsed by Gun Owners of America last year, said:

“I am thrilled at the momentum behind our ‘AZ, Not DC’ message. Every right in the Bill of Rights, especially firearms freedom, is “unalienable,” that is, God-given and intrinsic to our humanity, and therefore, not to be infringed. When the federal government goes beyond its constitutional authority, it is the duty of the states to defend their citizens, and it is the role of U.S. Senators to defend the states.

“The 9th Circuit recently ruled that Americans are not allowed to carry concealed weapons in public. Senator McCain has voted for too many leftists like the ACLU’s Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Justice Stephen Breyer, as well as Attorney General Eric Holder. We cannot risk allowing Hillary Clinton’s favorite Republican to be another rubber stamp for her nominations. We need a Conservative Champion to check executive overreach, no matter who the next president may be. I intend to be that person”

Gun Owners of America gives John McCain a D- rating and Ann Kirkpatrick a D.

Kelli Ward is easily at the head of the class with an A+.

McCain has supported expanded federal background checks and gun registration and recently voted to deny self-defense rights based on secret lists without any judicial approval or oversight.
