Granite Mountain Hotshot Memorial State Park in Yarnell,AZ is an amazing tribute to the 19 hotshot firefighters from Prescott Fire Company. Not an easy hike-about 7 miles up and back, but well worth it. Have good hiking shoes and plenty of water. I recommend watching the movie “Only The Brave” before you go. Standing at the fatality site and looking at the surroundings you can only try to imagine what these brave firefighters who lost their lives went through. You will never forget this hiking experience.
